A SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR TITLED “KHOJA AHMED YASSAWI: A MODEL OF PERFECTION” WAS HELD
A scientific and educational seminar titled “Khoja Akhmed Yassawi: A Model of Perfection” was held at our university, organized by the Yassawi Studies Research Institute.
The event was attended by university researchers, faculty members, master’s students, and senior undergraduate students.
The seminar was opened by Baurzhan Saifunov, Director of the Yassawi Studies Research Institute, who outlined the main goals and objectives of the meeting. He also emphasized the relevance of studying Yassawi’s legacy from new perspectives in the context of contemporary society.
Next, Dosay Kenzhetay, Doctor of Philosophy and Theology and Professor, noted that Yassawi’s teachings cannot be confined solely to the framework of Sufism or mythology. The scholar analyzed how the works of Khoja Akhmed Yassawi contain a systematic intellectual and scholarly foundation that leads toward genuine knowledge, conscious faith, and intellectual perfection.
The scholar also highlighted the frequent clash of different perspectives and interpretations in contemporary society. In addition, he put forward the fundamental idea that “the core and foundation of scientific knowledge lie in epistemology.” In his presentation, he examined the relationship between the concepts of the human being, religion, culture, and the state. He also provided a scholarly analysis of the place and interconnectedness of religious thought, tradition, language, ethics, aesthetics, music, and national values within the cultural layers of Yassawi’s legacy.
The scholar’s thoughtful insights and original conclusions broadened the academic perspectives of students and young researchers, providing them with a significant intellectual impetus.
At the end of the meeting, young scholars and students exchanged views and expressed their gratitude to their teacher for providing a deeper understanding of Yassawi’s model of perfection during this important gathering.
