Today, our university held Senate Meeting No. 3, which was attended by members of the Senate.

Traditionally, the meeting began with an award ceremony and congratulations to members of the university’s academic staff celebrating their anniversaries.

Rector Zhanar Temirbekova congratulated Kamalbek Berkimbayev, Director of the Kentau Campus, on receiving a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his significant contribution to the development of the country’s higher education and science system.

In addition, the Rector congratulated Aliya Sarybayeva, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, on her 60th  anniversary, and Almagul Kozhakhmetkyzy, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Faculty of Engineering, on her 50th  anniversary, presenting them with commemorative gifts.

The session then proceeded to review the main items on the agenda.
A. Dosbolov, Head of the Department for the Training and Certification of Scientific Personnel, delivered a report on the approval of scientific supervisors for postgraduate students (Master’s and PhD programs) for the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as on the topics of master’s theses.

N. Baybakhov, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, presented information on the results of student enrollment in pre-university, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting also addressed important issues such as the approval and publication of textbooks, teaching manuals, and monographs prepared by university faculty; amendments and additions to PhD dissertation topics and supervision; the rebranding and redistribution of focus areas of the “Yassawi University Bulletin” journal, as well as other current matters.
