The visa department of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkish University is the administrative structural part of the educational institution. After the internationalization of our university, it organizes work on visa support for foreign nationals who come to the university for service, study, visit. It registers passports of foreigners crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the migration authorities in the field in accordance with the requirements of the current migration legislation of the country, extends educational visas, work visas. Problems arising in the performance of these tasks will be resolved through the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Migration Police Directorate of the Turkestan Region.

The Visa Department organizes work on visa support for foreign citizens who re-enter the university for service, study, and visits. In accordance with the requirements of the current migration law of the country, passports of foreign persons crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan are registered through the Directorate of the Migration Service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Turkestan region (Turkey, China, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran), the extension of work and study visas and the issuance of exit visas. Issues arising in the performance of these functions will be worked out through the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, embassies and the Directorate of Migration Service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Turkestan region. Passports of citizens arriving from visa-free and visa-free countries are issued within 3 business days through the Egov portal, e-Qonaq with a notification of the visa, address and registration before the registration deadline. Foreign citizens from visa-free countries (Uzbekistan/ Karakalpakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russian Federation) after crossing the border with Kazakhstan must submit their passports to the Visa Department, temporary registration of citizens of this country is carried out through the Public Service Center (PSC). According to the VIZA database, created for foreign citizens, work is underway to replenish the database, make changes, track the dates of visas, passports, registration, and timely inform students.
* Familiarization with the rules of movement on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
* Extension of the work visa for employees (family members) with an extended contract period for the new academic year;
* Extension of the expired study visa for international students;
* Reduction of the time required for issuing exit visas and registration of citizens of neighboring countries by graduates and retired students;
* Semi-annual and annual reports to the Office of the Migration Service of the city and the region during the academic year;
* Close daily work is carried out with the university's educational department and the deans of the faculties to solve problems that arise in relation to international students.
