01. Is the university a public institution?
Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University is a joint public university of Kazakhstan and Türkiye.

06. Where are the assessment criteria for a course specified?
Detailed assessment criteria are provided in the course syllabus. The university evaluates academic performance using a point-rating letter grading system.
07. What does a prerequisite mean?
A prerequisite is a course that provides the knowledge and skills required before taking a subsequent course.
08. What is the main requirement for admission to final certification?
A student is admitted to final certification when the curriculum has been fully completed and there are no academic debts.
09. Can I study at another university through academic mobility?
Yes. Academic mobility allows you to study temporarily in your field at a partner university in Kazakhstan or abroad. The mobility office organizes the exchange and assists with the application and preparation of documents. Participation requirements depend on the selected program.
10. Can courses taken at another university be recognized?
Recognition of courses that are not academic debts is decided by a special commission. An application, together with a transcript or certificate indicating the course workload and grade, must be submitted to the dean's office.

11. Is it possible to transfer from fee-paying study to a state grant?
You may transfer to a vacant state grant through a competition. There must be no academic or financial debt and no program differences. The applicant's GPA is taken into account.
12. Who is eligible for a state scholarship?
State scholarships are provided for full-time bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students studying under a state educational order. Check the university's official information for the award procedure and the conditions applicable to you.
13. Is there a student dormitory on the Kentau campus?
Yes. A dormitory for the Kentau campus is listed by the university's Dormitories Department. Contact that department to confirm the accommodation procedure, available places, and fees.
14. Can I participate in sports outside class hours?
The university has sports sections, gyms, and swimming pools. The available activities include basketball, volleyball, wrestling, boxing, and togyzqumalaq. Confirm the training schedule with the sports department.
