“Turkology” Journal
The international journal “Turkology” has been published regularly once every two months since October 2002. Since May 2003, the journal has been registered at the International ISSN Centre in Paris (ISSN 1727-060) and with the Committee for Communication, Informatization and Information of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a periodical press publication and information agency (Certificate No. 55-97-Ж, dated 18.02.2005).
The journal publishes scholarly articles by domestic Turkologists as well as Turkologist researchers from near and far abroad in four languages — Kazakh, Russian, Turkish, and English.
The articles focus on the comprehensive study of Turkic peoples: their culture and religion, language and literature, folklore, history, civilization, and ethnography; the ancient history of modern Turkic peoples; the formation and development of Old Turkic; ancient Turkic ethnogenesis; and the origins of Turkic-speaking peoples.
Scholars from Turkey, Russia, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Turkmenistan, Chuvashia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Sakha, Uzbekistan, Abakan, China, Kabardino-Balkaria, Komi, Novosibirsk, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Karakalpakstan, and Dagestan regularly submit their articles to the journal.
