By the decision of the extraordinary online meeting of the University Senate for the academic year 2020-2021, the "English Language" department, founded in 1991, was divided into the departments of "Pedagogical Foreign Languages" and "English Philology and Translation" (Protocol No. 1 dated September 01, 2020). Accordingly, Aigul Sayfutdinova was appointed as the head of the "English Philology and Translation Studies" department. Since September 1, 2023, Aisulu Ermekbayeva has been working as the head of the department.
