IN THE SCIENTIFIC SPACE OF THE TURKIC WORLD


From September 16 to 18, 2026, the XXIV International Congress of Social Sciences of the Turkic World was held at Miras University in the city of Shymkent.

The International Scientific Congress brought together scholars and researchers from the countries of the Turkic world with the aim of addressing current issues in the social sciences, facilitating the exchange of academic experience and knowledge, and strengthening academic cooperation. In addition to various fields of the social sciences, the Congress program featured scholarly presentations addressing digitalization, digital rights, and contemporary legal regulation. The international scientific event was attended by ZHANDOS IBRAYEV GABITOVICH, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Law, who delivered a scholarly presentation entitled:

“MODERN CHILD LABOUR: NEW FORMS OF EXPLOITATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE”

The presentation examined contemporary forms of child labour in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies, the involvement of children in labour relations within the digital environment, and the legal issues arising in the course of these processes.

The topic addressed at this international scientific forum highlights the pressing need to protect children’s rights and legitimate interests in the context of the modern digital society, ensure the proper legal regulation of labour relations, and develop appropriate legal responses to emerging challenges and risks.

The scholarly discussions and presentations held within the framework of the Congress contributed to the exchange of international experience, the strengthening of professional ties, and the development of academic cooperation among the countries of the Turkic world.
