The 6th  Senate Session was held in the Senate Hall of our university. The meeting was attended by Senate members, the Head of the Department for Training and Certification of Academic Staff, and the faculty of professors and lecturers.

At the beginning of the session, University Rector Zhanar Temirbekova congratulated Sabyr Myrzabek, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Performing Arts at the Faculty of Arts, Media, and Design and Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on his 70th birthday, as well as Meruyert Danishbayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Constitutional and Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, on her 50th anniversary, presenting them with gifts and tokens of recognition.

The agenda items were then considered. Reports were presented, and recommendations discussed, on the outcomes of the 2025-2026 winter semester, as well as the implementation of the 2025 activities under the 2024-2029 Development Program.

Additionally, issues were reviewed in accordance with Article 5.1 of the Regulations on Awarding Honorary Titles of the University. These included awarding the title of “Honorary Professor” of the university, approving the reports of the Chairs of the Final Certification Commissions, validating and submitting for publication textbooks, teaching materials, and monographs prepared by the faculty, adding topics to postgraduate education dissertations and projects, and approving the diploma format.

During the session, with full support from the Senate members, Adil Akhmet, Academician of the Russian and Kazakh International Higher School of Science, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Professor, was awarded the academic title of “Honorary Professor” of our university for his contributions to the development of education and science. Rector Zhanar Temirbekova and Rector’s Representative Naci Genc presented the official certificate.

At the conclusion of the Senate session, Adil Akhmet expressed his positive outlook on the university’s development, thanked the rector and staff, and wished success in their continued collaborative work.
