THE ROUND TABLE ON THE TOPIC “LEGAL AWARENESS AND YOUTH: ATTITUDES TOWARD LAW AND ORDER” WAS HELD
A round table discussion titled “Legal Awareness and Youth: Attitudes Toward Law and Order” was held at our university among students. The event was organized within the framework of the Law and Order concept and the new Constitutional Referendum.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Aliya Kassymbek, faculty members, and students.
Opening the discussion, Dean Aliya Kassymbek highlighted the importance and timeliness of the issues on the agenda. She noted the national significance of the constitutional document and emphasized that students are witnessing a historic step for the country. She expressed confidence that they would demonstrate active citizenship by participating in the referendum. Addressing them as future legal professionals, she stressed the importance of treating matters of national importance with responsibility, as their future professional decisions and activities will be carried out within the framework of the adopted Constitution.
She also provided a detailed explanation of the significance of the new constitutional reform for young people, emphasizing that every citizen who cares about the country’s future must understand its importance. She underlined that preserving peace and honoring the homeland is the duty of every citizen and called on students to follow and uphold the principles of Law and Order.
Vice Dean, PhD, and lecturer Zhandos Ibrayev then addressed the participants. He expressed confidence in the younger generation, stating that as future lawyers, they are expected to serve in institutions responsible for adopting laws that benefit society. He also spoke about the importance of legal literacy and legal culture.
In his speech, he emphasized the high level of responsibility associated with the legal profession, noting that every decision can influence the fate of the country. He stated that a just society can only be built when young people possess strong legal awareness and encouraged students to prioritize knowledge and integrity.
At the conclusion of the event, students shared their views and expressed valuable opinions on the topic.
