On March 1 – Gratitude Day – an acoustic evening entitled “Yassawi in My Heart” was held at the Farab Library. The significant event was organized by the Youth Policy Department and the Student Parliament.

Among the honored guests were Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov, Director of the Turkestan City Youth Resource Center Aliya Pirzhanova, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Public Development Administration Azamat Imashev, as well as faculty members and students. The audience also included international students who had arrived under the academic mobility program.

The purpose of the event was to strengthen friendship among students, promote intercultural dialogue, and celebrate shared values while keeping the spirit of Yassawi in their hearts.

From the very beginning of the evening, the library was filled with a special warmth, creating a spiritual connection between the performers and the audience. Each performance brought a unique atmosphere and left a lasting impression on those present.

The evening, which united the youth of the Turkic world, featured talented students performing well-known songs that have touched many hearts. What made the event particularly special was the diversity of the repertoire: songs from Kazakh, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Turkish and other Turkic cultures were performed. In total, songs were sung in seven languages, reflecting the University’s international status and multicultural environment.

At the conclusion of the event, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova addressed the participants:

“Dear students, I sincerely thank you. You performed the songs with your hearts. The land of Yassawi has always been a source of inspiration and a place that supports young people and showcases their talents. I believe this tradition will continue. My special gratitude also goes to the audience.”

The attendees left the evening spiritually enriched, witnessing a genuine expression of gratitude and unity. The acoustic concert once again demonstrated that friendship, brotherhood, and shared values are timeless when expressed through the art of youth.
