AN IFTAR WAS HELD WITH TURKISH DEPUTIES ON THE EVE OF LAYLAT AL-QADR
On the eve of Laylat al-Qadr during the holy month of Ramadan, regarded as the most sacred of the twelve months, an iftar dinner was held at the university cafeteria with the participation of the TURKPA delegation.
The event was attended by members of the TURKPA delegation, including deputies of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey — Tahir Akyurek, Filiz Kilic, and Kadim Durmaz — as well as Erkan Durdular, a representative of the Department of External Relations and Protocol of the TURKPA Secretariat, Kadir Yaman, Secretary of the TURKPA Commission, and the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Turkistan, Levent Gurсan.
Rector Zhanar Temirbekova welcomed the TURKPA delegation, stating: “Dear guests! Welcome to the sacred land of Turkistan and to our university! May your fasts during the holy month of Ramadan be accepted!”
It should be noted that the university organizes free iftar meals throughout all 30 days of Ramadan, sponsored by Kazakhstani and Turkish institutions as well as charitable foundations.
During the gathering at the festive table, the TURKPA delegation expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the warm hospitality and for providing the opportunity to partake in the iftar meal.
