On the occasion of the sacred Laylat al-Qadr, a telethon titled “Laylat al-Qadr and the Spiritual Heritage of Turkistan” was broadcast, organized jointly by our university and the Turkistan TV channel.

The purpose of the telethon was to explain the religious and spiritual significance of Laylat al-Qadr to a wide audience, as well as to promote the values of unity, compassion, forgiveness, and mutual respect in society.

The telethon featured as speakers the Rector of our university, Zhanar Temirbekova, Rector’s Representative Naci Genc, and members of the teaching and academic staff.

During the live broadcast, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova spoke about the charitable and social support initiatives implemented at the university during the holy month of Ramadan.

She also highlighted charitable initiatives carried out by the university leadership with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), including social assistance in the form of food packages.

In his speech, Rector’s Representative Naci Genc emphasized the special significance of Laylat al-Qadr for the Turkic world. He also noted that strengthening spiritual ties among Turkic youth studying at the university is an important factor reflecting the continuity of shared values.

Naci Genc expressed that it is a great honor for him to work on the sacred land of Turkistan, where Khoja Akhmed Yassawi rests.

The telethon content was structured into three main sections.
