At our educational institution, the 8th session of the Senate was held, during which the issues on the agenda were reviewed.
During the meeting, University Rector Zhanar Temirbekova and Representative of the Rector Naci Genc congratulated Murat Tazhibayuly, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, on his 70th anniversary.
In the official part, first, the Director of Akhmet Yassawi Professional College, Altynbek Kenzhaliyev, presented information on the college’s development directions and the quality of education.
Further, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Idrissova delivered a report on introducing amendments and additions to the “Code of Academic Integrity” (AC-IKTU-001-2026).
In addition, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov addressed issues related to nominating university staff for awards for their contributions to science and digitalization.
The report by Nazira Tursynbayeva, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Education and Humanities, on election to the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences was also discussed.
Moreover, Khairulla Massadikov, Director of the Science Department, presented the approval of the “Research Policy” (SC-IKTU-001-2026).
The Senate members decided to submit the documents of the university’s teaching staff for obtaining academic titles to the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to approve and recommend for publication textbooks, teaching manuals, and monographs prepared by the university staff.
