Today, our university signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ankara Social Sciences University, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Karabük University, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Süleyman Demirel University, Iğdır University, and İzmir Bakırçay University.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman of AK Parti, Head of the AK Parti Presidency for Relations with Turkic States, Member of Parliament for Ankara, Professor Dr. Kürşad Zorlu; Consul General of Türkiye in Astana Mustafa Kapucu; Chairman of the Board of Trustees Muhittin Şimşek; and Rector Zhanar Temirbekova.

The main purpose of the agreement is to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between universities, strengthen ties in the fields of education and science, and create a shared academic and research space through academic exchange.

The memorandum was signed by Rector Zhanar Temirbekova and the rectors of the partner universities: Musa Kazım Arıcan (Ankara Social Sciences University), Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil (Kırşehir Ahi Evran University), Fatih Kırışık (Karabük University), Semih Aktekin (Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University), Mehmet Salta (Süleyman Demirel University), Ekrem Gürel (Iğdır University), and Rasim Akpınar (İzmir Bakırçay University).

Speaking at the meeting, honored guest Kürşad Zorlu said:
“I am pleased to witness this important gathering. I believe that within the framework of this significant agreement in the field of science and education, you will achieve excellent results. From now on, each university will carry great responsibility, and there is much work ahead. I wish you every success. May this cooperation last forever.”

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Muhittin Şimşek noted:
“Dear colleagues, today the rectors of eight universities have signed an important memorandum. I am confident that within the framework of this agreement, universities will not only work on paper but will actively cooperate and support one another.”

Rector Zhanar Temirbekova added: “For the past three days, our university has been celebrating, as such important events have been organized here. This is a great joy for us. At our university, which bears the name of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, we warmly welcome every guest. Turkistan is a place of great significance not only for Kazakhstan but for the entire Turkic world. Many high-level international events take place here, and today’s meeting is clear evidence of that. This agreement will greatly benefit our institutions and contribute to their development. We express our gratitude to everyone who supported us.”

It is worth noting that within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to implement faculty and student exchange programs, conduct joint research projects, and develop both online and traditional educational activities.

In addition, plans were established to organize seminars and academic meetings, implement short-term educational programs, and exchange scientific materials and information.

Student exchange programs will last for one or two semesters, providing learners with valuable academic experience.

Thus, the parties agreed to jointly implement scientific projects, organize conferences and educational events, and systematically develop academic cooperation.

This historically significant agreement will not only strengthen bilateral academic relations but also lay the foundation for consistent joint initiatives in education, science, and cultural-humanitarian fields.

At the end of the meeting, the participants exchanged commemorative gifts as a sign of mutual respect.
