“OUR STUDENTS BECAME THE WINNERS OF THE BEST STARTUP PROJECT AT AN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION.”
The VIII International Youth Business Project Competition titled “My Dream” has successfully concluded at Central Asian Innovation University.
Students, master’s degree candidates, and college learners from both domestic and international institutions participated in the competition, presenting their startup projects.
As a result, a team from the university’s Faculty of Arts, Media, and Design — Aruzhan Samen, Ayaulym Sharap, Sevara Makambayeva, Ayazhan Serikbay, and Kausar Serikbay — was awarded the title of “Best Startup Project.”
The main objective of the competition was to identify innovative ideas among young people, foster entrepreneurial thinking, and increase interest in business activities.
The expert panel included representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Shymkent, as well as experienced business professionals. In particular, Dias Alisapar, Head of the Small Business Development Department, and Mugazan Kanlybayev, Acting Director of the Shymkent branch of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, served as jury members.
A total of 63 projects were submitted by participants from Turkey’s Gaziosmanpaşa University and several universities across the country, of which 15 advanced to the final stage.
It is worth noting that the winning team was supervised by Assel Erdenova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts.
In addition, outstanding projects were recognized in the following categories: “Best Business Project,” “Best Future-Oriented Project,” “Audience Choice,” “Best Startup in Marketing,” “Best Startup in Artificial Intelligence,” “Best Social Startup,” and “Best Startup in the Service Sector.”
