“RULE OF LAW IS THE MAIN REQUIREMENT: A MEETING WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WAS HELD”
A legal advisory seminar for first-year international students was held at our university. During the session, specialists provided legal awareness and explanatory guidance.
The event was moderated by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development, Yedil Tolegenov.
“Our university brings together young people from across the Turkic world. Currently, we host more than 1,000 international students. In every country, there are laws and regulations that must be respected by all. Today, we have gathered to provide legal guidance to our international students. Representatives of authorized bodies have been specially invited for this purpose,” the vice-rector noted.
First, Kairkhan Mustafayev, Chief Criminalist of the Forensics Department of the Economic Investigation Department of the Turkistan Region, introduced the department’s work. He also informed students about offenses such as illegal money transfers, dropper schemes, and illicit financial activities. He explained how such schemes operate and illustrated them with practical examples.
Next, Gulzeinep Karazhigitova, Senior Inspector of the Migration Service Department and Police Major, provided a detailed explanation of visa regulations. She emphasized that students who enter the country on study visas must strictly comply with legal requirements, including maintaining proper conduct and refraining from unauthorized employment.
Additionally, Kurbanbay Slamov, Police Major of the Turkistan City Police Department, shared important information about the rights of international students. He encouraged students to respect the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, avoid legal violations, and adhere to established rules and discipline.
At the end of the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions and received comprehensive answers from the invited experts.
