ISSUES OF ENVIRONMENTAL CULTURE AND RESPONSIBILITY WERE DISCUSSED

At the Faculty of Natural Sciences, a seminar on the topic “Environmental Culture and Responsibility” was held for students of the “Ecology” educational program.

Experienced professionals in the field of ecology were invited to the event and shared their expertise. In particular, Bagila Beissenbayeva, Head of the Environmental Regulation Department of the Ecology Department for Turkistan Region under the Environmental Regulation and Control Committee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dilnaz Tashimova, Chief Specialist of the State Environmental Control Department, and Daulet Begaliyev, Director of LLP “QAYTA ONDEU,” took part in the seminar and shared their views on current issues in the field.

According to N. Abdimutalip, Associate Professor (PhD) of the Department of Ecology and Chemistry, the main objective of the event was to foster environmental culture among young people, enhance their sense of responsibility toward the environment, and guide future specialists in addressing contemporary environmental challenges.

During the seminar, key aspects of environmental protection, compliance with environmental legislation, the regional ecological situation, and the efficient use of natural resources were widely discussed. In addition, topics such as industrial and household waste management, waste sorting and recycling mechanisms, the implementation of green economy principles, and ensuring environmental safety were addressed.

The speakers explained the specifics of environmental monitoring and regulation using practical examples and highlighted ongoing initiatives in the sector. Particular emphasis was placed on innovative solutions and entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of waste recycling.

The seminar was held in an interactive format, allowing students to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers from experienced professionals.

The event contributed to raising environmental awareness among future ecologists, strengthening their responsible attitude toward nature, and developing their professional competencies. Such meetings play an important role not only in enhancing students’ knowledge but also in fostering their civic engagement and environmental responsibility.
