OUR UNIVERSITY IS A LEADER AMONG MULTIDISCIPLINARY HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN MEDICAL EDUCATION
The ranking of medical faculties within multidisciplinary higher education institutions in Kazakhstan for the 2024–2025 academic year has been published. Our university achieved outstanding results, ranking 1st overall.
The ranking was developed based on a comprehensive analysis of educational activities, with universities evaluated across four key indicators: quality of education, graduate employability and demand in the labor market, level of internationalization, and the potential of the academic staff.
According to the overall results, our university scored 432.6 points, taking the leading position. For comparison, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University ranked second with 285.1 points, while Al-Farabi Kazakh National University placed third with 237.87 points.
This achievement reflects the high quality of medical education at our university, strong demand for its graduates in the labor market, and the effectiveness of its clinical and academic training model.
In terms of individual indicators, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University became the only institution to achieve a “high level” (150–200 points) in education quality, scoring 194.3 points. This result is based on the successful performance of internship and residency graduates in independent examinations, as well as students’ achievements in international competitions.
Additionally, the employability and demand for the university’s graduates were highly rated, with a score of 114.8 points, ensuring a strong position in this category.
The university scored 40.0 points in internationalization, while the potential of the academic staff was evaluated at 83.5 points.
Such a significant achievement is the result of many years of systematic and goal-oriented work. In recent years, extensive efforts have been made to modernize educational programs, align them with international standards, develop clinical bases, and equip laboratories with modern technologies.
Moreover, innovative teaching methods have been introduced into the educational process, with particular emphasis on improving students’ practical skills.
The scope of academic mobility programs has expanded, and strong partnerships have been established with foreign universities.
Undoubtedly, the high ranking results are the outcome of the dedicated efforts of the university staff, faculty members, and students working toward a common goal. Efforts to enhance the professional level of academic staff, as well as to implement international internships and scientific projects, will continue.
In the future, our university aims to further strengthen its internationalization efforts and solidify its position in the global educational space.
