Today, a discussion of “A Woman’s Love” by Kazakh writer Mukhtar Magauin was held at the university library in honor of National Book Day.

The aim of the event was to foster students’ and faculty members’ interest in reading, as well as to broaden readers’ intellectual horizons through this literary work.

It is worth noting that a new “Book Discussion” series was launched at our university as part of the National Book Day celebrations. Even extensive literary works continue to find their readers today. This time, the focus was on a piece by Mukhtar Magauin.

The event began with librarian Aruzhan Kozhakhmet introducing the plot and themes of “A Woman’s Love,” highlighting it as one of the author’s notable works.

The discussion was conducted in the format of a quiz game. Students, faculty members, readers, and librarians answered questions based on the storyline, shared their impressions, and exchanged opinions. As a result, participants developed diverse perspectives on the work.

At the end of the event, the library staff presented all attendees with the book “Abai’s Reflections on the Speaker and the Listener” as a commemorative gift for National Book Day.

Active participants were also awarded books by university faculty and other authors, including journalist Seidolla Sadykuly’s “The Leader of Sharp Words,” religious scholar Zikiriya Zhandarbek’s “The Yassawi Path and Kazakh Society,” Kydyrbek Rysbekuly’s “Bekzat,” and Abduakap Kara’s “The Truth of the Turkestan Legion: Between the Swastika and the Red Star.”

Thus, the “Book Discussion” event enabled readers to gain a deeper understanding of the literary work and further expand their worldview.
