Today, our educational institution hosted a traditional festive concert dedicated to May 7 – Defender of the Fatherland Day and May 9 – Victory Day.

The purpose of the event was to honor the heroism of our ancestors who defended the nation and to foster a spirit of patriotism among the youth.

The celebration began with the performance of the national anthems of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye.

The “Atameken” folk instrumental ensemble performed Murat Sydykov’s composition “Batyr Baba” and beautifully rendered Suleiman Sholpan’s piece “Guzel Turkistan.”

Throughout the concert program, university performers presented songs and dances that uplifted the national spirit and left a lasting emotional impression.

I              n particular, the “Bi Sultan” dance ensemble performed the choreographic pieces “Tambalar” and “Spirit of the Steppe,” reflecting the deep history of the Kazakh people. The choreographer is Gulnaziya Tauekelova, a distinguished cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, students of the “Pop Art” program from the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design—Zarema Sabden, Merey Sabden, and Aidana Kairolbekova—performed the song “Tugan Zher” by composer Arman Duissenov, evoking a deep sense of longing for one’s homeland.

This was followed by performances of “Salem Sagan, Tugan Yel” by Enlik Saduakas and Orazaly Bodaubek, and “Tugan Zher,” performed with great emotion by Edilkhan Nurgazy, the first-place winner of the XVIII Republican Student Pop Song Competition.

During the evening, the songs “Men Kazakhpyn” and “Kazakhstan,” performed by university artists, inspired the audience.

The meaningful and spiritually enriching evening reminded everyone that we are proud citizens of an independent country.
