“A HIGH-LEVEL DELEGATION FROM TÜRKIYE VISITED OUR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION.”
As part of the informal summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), ministers and members of parliament of the Republic of Türkiye paid a special visit to our university.
Among the distinguished guests were Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States; Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye; Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology; Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade; Ömer İleri, Chairman of the AK Party Information and Communication Technologies Department; Leyla Şahin Usta, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group; and other esteemed guests. Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aibek Sydykov, also attended the meeting.
The delegation also included Haluk Görgün, President of the Turkish Defence Industry Agency; Serdar Karagöz, Director General of Anadolu Agency; and Abdullah Eren, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
It is worth noting that the main objective of the summit, held in Turkistan under Kazakhstan’s chairmanship, was not only to exchange views, but also to pave the way for concrete initiatives and joint projects. Developing common policies in the areas of digital governance, economic diversification, and the creation of an innovative ecosystem were among the key priorities on the agenda.
The distinguished guests visiting our university were welcomed by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Muhittin Şimşek, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, and the university’s vice-rectors. The guests were first greeted by a performance of the “Atameken” National Folk Instruments Ensemble, whose melodious music left a lasting impression on the visitors.
During the meeting, meaningful discussions were held on the brotherly relations between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, trade and economic cooperation, as well as joint initiatives in the fields of science and education.
In addition, detailed information was shared about the history, current achievements, and future development plans of Yassawi University, which has become a common educational home for the Turkic world.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the distinguished guests expressed their sincere gratitude to the university administration and staff for their warm welcome and generous hospitality.
