During the ten-day educational visit, 40 students from our University travelled to the Turkish cities of Bursa, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Ankara, Nevşehir, Bolu, and Istanbul, where they became acquainted with the country's history, culture, and higher education system.
As part of the programme, the students visited numerous historical and cultural landmarks, including the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial, historical sites of the Anatolian civilizations, Anıtkabir, Lake Abant, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, and the Galata Tower, gaining a deeper understanding of Türkiye's rich cultural heritage.
During the Summer School, the participants also met with Professor Muhittin Şimşek, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our University, and Professor Dr. Nabi Avcı, former Minister of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye. The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange views on the unity of the Turkic world, the role of young people, and the importance of education and science.
The Summer School programme not only broadened the students' historical and cultural perspectives but also enabled them to gain a deeper appreciation of the shared cultural and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples while strengthening international friendship and cooperation.
It is worth noting that the Summer School, organized annually with the support of the Board of Trustees, is one of the University's key international initiatives aimed at fostering students' academic, cultural, and personal development.
Having successfully completed their educational journey in Türkiye, our students returned home enriched with valuable experience, new knowledge, and unforgettable memories.
