Today, an important meeting entitled “Youth of New Kazakhstan: Rights, Responsibility and Opportunities” was held in our University’s coworking area.

The event was attended by University Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov, representatives of the Youth Center Department, and active students.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recently published collection of selected speeches by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, “Honest Words for a Just Society,” and to encourage students to draw on the valuable ideas presented in the book as guiding principles in their lives.

During the event, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova spoke about the content of the new publication and highlighted its significance for young people.

“In the first week of August 2026, the President’s book ‘Honest Words for a Just Society’ was published. The book is very thoughtfully structured. Since our University is an international institution, I was particularly impressed by the President’s reflections on the legacy of our great ancestor Yassawi.

Our University library already has a work by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev devoted to international politics. ‘Honest Words for a Just Society’ is now the second of his books to be added to the library collection. A PDF version of the book is also available for reading.

Two of the President’s key principles are ‘Just Kazakhstan’ and ‘Law and Order.’ Why do we consistently emphasize these values? If you explore the content of the book and read its chapters carefully, you will understand their deeper meaning. May this book become a trusted guide for all of you!” she said.

The Rector thus emphasized the importance of the new publication for young people and encouraged students not only to read the collection but also to analyze and discuss its ideas.

The meeting then continued in a discussion format, with students exchanging views on the ideas presented in “Honest Words for a Just Society.”

The participating students noted the importance of rereading the President’s work, examining its ideas in depth, and embracing the principles of justice and responsibility. They also recognized that publications addressing the rule of law, patriotism, and spiritual continuity can serve as valuable resources in developing the leadership qualities needed to contribute actively to the country’s future.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized that the active involvement of young people in the country’s development, respect for the principles of law and order, and the promotion of national values are among the essential foundations for building a just society.
