At our university, the opening ceremony of the Republican Student Subject Olympiads, held annually with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place. This year, our university is hosting Olympiads in the educational programs of “Physics,” “Training of Biology Teachers,” and “Turkology.”
The main goal of the Olympiad is to strengthen participants’ theoretical knowledge through practical tasks, develop future specialists’ professional competencies, create opportunities for mutual exchange of experience, and promote high achievements based on fair competition.
Opening the event, the Rector of the University, Zhanar Temirbekova, stated: “Dear participants, dear students, respected professors, and esteemed colleagues! Welcome to the sacred center of the Turkic world – the spiritual capital of the Turkic world, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University!
Today is a celebration at our university. The main reason is all of you gathered in this hall, and we are very pleased to meet you. We believe that future scientists who will make major scientific discoveries, bring changes to our country’s economy, and present our scientific achievements to the world are seated here. We sincerely thank you, because participation in the republican subject Olympiad is a great honor. It is a reflection of your early dedication to science, the result of your teachers’ guidance, and your efforts in developing scientific projects and strengthening your skills within your academic environment. Today, you are participating in a national-level competition. I wish you all success.”
Afterwards, the participating teams from various higher education institutions were introduced.
A festive concert was organized for the participants, after which the academic competition began according to the program.
It should be noted that 11 teams are participating in the “B054 – Physics” educational program, 19 teams in the “B013 – Training of Biology Teachers” program, and 3 teams in the “B035 – Turkology” program.
Over the course of two days, students will compete in several stages within their educational programs to determine the best among them.
In addition, the program includes special cultural and spiritual events, as well as excursions for the guests of our university.
