An expanded meeting of the Council of Banking Associations of Turkic States was held at our university.
The event was attended by Marat Baitokov, Chairman of the Host Banking Association, and Alparslan Çakar, Chairman of the Council of Banking Associations of Turkic States, as well as representatives from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Cyprus.
University Rector Zhanar Temirbekova also took part in the meeting, wishing success to the Council session and expressing her delight at welcoming distinguished guests to the university.
During the meeting, representatives of the Turkic states—including Zakir Nuriev, Bakhtiyar Hamidov, Anvar Abraev, Ismail Vural, and Olgun Önal—delivered congratulatory speeches, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation.
The agenda included several key issues, such as the appointment of a new Secretary General, the organization of training programs for member institutions in Istanbul, and the holding of webinars for banks of member countries. In addition, the development of infographic and communication initiatives based on banking data was discussed.
Participants also addressed the assessment of the Islamic banking market in Central Asian countries, the identification of priority areas for cooperation, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Banking Association of Northern Cyprus, and the organization of an international finance and banking summit in Türkiye.
