At the 25th Summer Deaflympic Games, held in Tokyo (Japan), the graduates of our university demonstrated outstanding results and rose to the winners’ podium.

In the judo weight category up to 73 kg, the championship title was claimed by our university graduate Kuandyq Shadiyar Sergalievich. Having entered our university in 2017 and graduated in 2021, Kuandyq Shadiyar honorably represented the country and became one of the first athletes to bring a gold medal to Kazakhstan.

Another graduate of our university, Aydarbek Toktarbek, won a silver medal in the 100 kg weight category. He studied at our institution and completed the Physical Education and Sports program in 2019, followed by the Local Administration program in 2021.

It is worth noting that the Deaflympics are the largest international games for athletes with hearing impairments. Judging is conducted using a sign-based system, with visual starting signals and special rules. Therefore, these competitions test not only athletic skill but also endurance and strength of spirit.

We congratulate our graduates on their victories! We express our gratitude to the athletes who raised the flag of Kazakhstan and brought honor to our university, becoming role models for young athletes. We are confident that their success will give new impetus to the development of national sports.
